I have green anemones all over inside my tank, they are actually taking over my tank-any suggestions on what they are and how to get rid of them.

Not sure what they are haven't heard of green ones yet, but people always mentiona product called Joe's Juice to kill pest anenomes, but I think it can hurt Corals so be careful how you use it. I also think I have seen really hot water sprayed into them as a good technique, but I have no personal experience

I am not so sure those green things are Anemones. I have not seem ones looking like that. I downloaded the shot and blew it up to take a closer look......... Still not sure what they are. If they are pest Anemones spot treating like with Kalk paste, Lemon Juice or Joes juice may be too much of a spike to the water parameters for such a large grouping unless spread over a long time.
Can you give us a close up shot of them??? Maybe someone else will recognize these critters, I don't know for sure. I thought it was GSP when I first looked at the shot..

I too believe the color is throwing this off, but one question...
do you have only actinic lighting on in that pic. IMO you appear to have a mojano anemone colony, under actinic lighting.. not sure though.
If not they may just be rock anemones...typically not harmful but obviously in these numbers they can be. FWIW if they are rock anemones I would take one off your hands for ya. I like them, unless they are mojano's then... you can keep em... LOL

It would be nice to have a closeup of a section but I agree that they look like majano from this picture. The only other question I would pose is do they have little white balls on the tips of the tentacles like this:

They appear to be Majano but I can't be sure.
Joe's juice or Kalkwasser paste both are the same thing won't bother your corals as long as it isn't applied directly to the tissue of the coral and even then as long as you blow it off relatively quick it won't harm the coral.
It will cause your PH to rise, 10ml which is a pretty large dose and will treat hundreds of anemones causes my ph to shift from 8.2-8.4 but it doesn't happen instantly it rises gradually after the pumps are turned back on as the Kalkwasser is dissolved into the water column.

So are they like bad for your tank ? By the way thanks for the info. And I haven't seen them for the last 5 days can they move around ?

Mine tend to shrink up during the day unless I throw some food in the tank. Then they are out trying to get some. I think they can be bad but mine have not grown much and have stayed where they are so I am not worrying too much about them right now.
Okay enough hijacking Price's thread. PM me if you want more information.
