I'm not sure about reef safe but they can get very agressive. I had one in a fish only tank, he killed one of my yellow tangs, bursa trigger, and was going after my other yellow tang when i just took him back to the LFS, the most PITA fish I've ever owned. They don't belong in captivity.

Green Bird Wrasse $34.99
Gomphosus varius
This fish should be kept in tank of 150 gallons or more. Allow this fish to acclimate for several hours and then allow it to acclimate in your aquarium undisturbed for a full day. They take some time to recover, but once recovered they are very active and very entertaining. Do not be misled by it lying still.
Size: 4-7 inches
Care Level: Easy
Temperament: Bold (ie, aggressive)
Reef Safe: Monitor (Wouldn't put it with my corals)Diet: Pellet, Meaty
