Green Bubble Algae-Advise Needed

I have a rapidly expanding population of green bubble algae. It was suggested to me that to adding some Emerald Crabs to the tank would handle this problem. I have followed up on this and added three Emerald Crabs and have not noticed any decrease in the problem. In fact there is more algae now then before. Can anyone offer some advise? I have a 92 gallon tank, is it that I need more Emerald Crabs? Water parameters is fine. Is it a problem with light?
THanks,

I pulled my rock and scrubbed it. That took care of most of mine. I also added emeralds. Every bubble I tried to remove ended up popping.

From what I've read on here, it can spread rapidly if the bubbles pop, but it's not dangerous. I've had some in my tank since I started, but have never had more than about 5 or 6. I noticed one had "popped" one time, and I was nervously awaiting a bubble algea outbreak, but it never happened. Maybe I'm lucky. I personally think they are attractive, but I certainly wouldn't want a hundred in my tank.:jumping:

As far as I understand its only nuisance algae. Its rapid growth can take over a tank (as ive seen in some LFS).
I had a small bubble algae problem once. Heres what I did...
All the bubbles I could reach, I knocked off and disposed of. If youre going to do this, I recommend doing this during a water change. You can pull the rock or whatever its stuck to, stick it in a bucket with your old water, then pull the bubbles off. That way if you happen to pop one, the bubblejuice wont be in your tank. Have another container of your old water to rinse the rock (or whatever) off with before putting it back in the tank.
I noticed that a few more bubbles started to form. I got some emerald crabs to control the issue. It seemed like the next day the crabs took care of the issue. Although the bubbles were quite small. I think the crabs will only eat the bubbles they can get their claws around. I dont expect them to want to munch on a larger bubble. If they did, you may as well just pop the thing yourself and release bubblejuice in the tank yourself!
Hope this helps.

My emerald never touvched a single bubble!
I just pick mine off and try not to burst them. If they are not coming off very well let them grow a bit.
If you have a rock covered in them take it out and pick them off.
I wouldn't get too worried about them. Most people looking at the tank think they look quite natural!!!
