Green Button Polyps?

I've noticed that my green button polyps are starting to turn white. Does anyone know what may be happening? I've had them about 6 months and color change started about 2 weeks ago. All water parameters are fine. Thanks.

What type of lighting under are they under? What type of flow? what are your water parameter specifics?

Tank has been running about 2 years. I have other polyps and mushrooms in the tank and they are all fine. I use to check parameters twice a month and never had any bad readings. Right now I don't have a test kit and I last tested a month ago. I just recently started dosing iodine. Could that be the cause?

If the polyps are opening and extending then that's a good sign. I would be worried if they were constantly closed.
Do you test your iodine before and after dosing it? That'd be a good start.
In the following thread, someone has the same problem, and tests for everything but iodine, which they dose.

It might be good to test for all water parameters, specifically iodine, and then do a couple of small water changes.

Yep, stop dosing the iodine if you don't have a test for it. Also, are they turning white all over or just on the stalks?

Around the mouth area. Stalks are brownish. I guess I'll stop dosing iodine. Can you actually overdose with iodine?
