Green Carpet

:help: I purchased a green carpet from saltwaterfish. The first few days was beautiful. Since then he has moved around found a place but looks dead. But very clearly if he is moved he will find his again.. Now he is upside down in a crevice. If a light is put on him he shrivals up and clearly is not dead yet. My question is how will I know when I need to get hom out before his toxins are released in my tank if he dies. My water chemistry is perfect and lighting is approx 625W in a 165ga. Any help would be appreciated

My Personal expierence with green carpets havent been all that wonderful eitheir i think that they are very delicate. its truely hit and miss with them, thats JMO. But acclimation time for an anemone is a couple weeks give him some time and see. Him moving around is just part of the shock of moving and acclimatted.

I have found the large anemones to be very particular about where they 'root'. I had a large green carpet for a while (before he/she got too big) that wandered a lot before finding a place to settle down. I would try to set up a few pices of live rock in a small semi-circle that the anemone can back into.
Do you have sand in your tank - that would make aclimating him easier.
