Green Coralline Algae?

Is there any difference between the purple or the green? I have some of both (tank is only 7 month old.. and i dont really like the green to much lol

Sometimes the green will eventually be over taken by the purple stuff. I noticed in my 55 that all of the small green circles eventually turned purple in a few weeks. Bump up your calcium and/or carbonate alkalinity and this will happen.

There are differant types of coralline which gives you the differant colors. I have a lot of green, been there sense I started the tank. Just one of those things. I have also read that the purple and pinks will outgrow the green but I haven't seen it yet. Tanks been running 3-years now??
