I need help desperately!!
Here's the deal. Have a bad case of green hair algae growing - may need to ask Santa for a lawn mower - arrgghh!!
Took just about every piece of lr out of my tank & scrubbed it. Now, it's back again. Was wondering - even if you do scrub the spot where the algae's attached, do you actually get rid of it or, is it more inclined to grow back in that same spot since it was there in the first place?
Have cut back my "daylight" photoperiod by 4 hrs., use a water purifier for replacement water & water changes, use some form of a phosphate sponge/phosguard (to get rid of any excess phosphate. All my tests are within the parimeters. Do not overfeed. Have over 100 snails & 50+ hermits. WHAT is going on?? I would hate to think that I have to get rid of all my lr w/the critters on them & start over )= )= Must say, am mighty frustrated. If anyone out there has any suggestions, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks - Chess
