Please help..All my LR turned green and my water clouded up. I changed the water (50%) change which took care of the cloudiness but what do I do with the green algae??
My readings are o Ammonia, O nititres, 8.2ph, 1.025 salinity and 20-25ppm Nitrate.
I switched to 100% Blue actinic light. I read that this helps.
Please advise

How long has your tank been set up ?
Do you use RO or RO/DI water ?
Do you have a phosphate test kit ?
If so ... what is the level ?
Little more detail would sure be helpful

My tank is set up since July 2001. There are 5 seahorses, some turbos and a few hermit crabs. No corals.
I ahve been using the home tap water filter and than spring water for water changes. I realize that the spring water probably is contributing to my problems.
I am going to buy a phosphate test tommorrow
