Anyone here have a green spotted puffer in their saltwater tank. I have heard they will live in it, but wanted to make sure before I make the wrong decision. I know they don't live in freshwater, I had to learn the hard way..........

i have read that they are brackish water but can be aclimated to salt .. but i have also read that they are just salt water fish ..lol ... my lfs sold me 5 awhile before i ever got into salt water tanks ... needless to say they all died .. i went back to the store with the info i learned about them but he didnt want to hear it and insisted i was wrong even though i had a book in my hand with the info ... read about them before youget them.. they are cool though

they are brackish fish and can be acclimated to salt. I have seen figure eight puffers, greenspoted and yellowtail monos in saltwater tank.

I have two green spoted puffers in my saltwater tank. They are doing awesome. I have been having them for a while now. At first I had them in a 20 Gallon brackish water tank, but when I got my saltwater tank I put them in there.

I also have one.Hes been in my tank for about 4 months and no problems. The store that I got him from had abot 12 of them swimming around together. When I first brought it home it didn't eat for about a week and a half, but has been fine since. He eats feeder guppies as well as frozen.
