green star polyp

Anyone ever have problems with green star polyps dieing? my nitrates are at 10ppm im trying to get them lower kinda weird

but whats happing? are they dieing?
maybe something picking on them or annoying them. and how you know they die?

it looks like mold is forming on them, i dont see anyone picking on it
