I picked up a piece of Green Star Poylps last thursday and they closed when the guy pulled them outta the DT, and they still havnt opened back up. I have heard some times they just take time to open back up. I saw 2 open yesterday but they closed back up later...Think I should move them or just give them more time?

just give them some time...did you place them on the bottom of your tank? if it is a big change in lighting (theirs to yours) it will just take some time to adjust to the new lighting.

i`d give them a few more day...
saturday, i got my first small frag of them myself. they opened up today ...

:jumping: I Agree. I have had mine for 10 months and it now has closed,but is slowly opening again.dmjordan where in Maryland are you?

what does a gsp looked like when it is closed? i just bought a peice today from a fellow reefer, and it just looks like purple coraline algae with little bumps on it. Is that what it is supposed to look like?

that is what they look like, one pollyp comes out of each bump, they may take several days to open up

I noticed around 6 or 7 open last night they day before there were 2 open so I suppose thats a good sign..
