My tank is a little over 3 moths old I have purple coraline growing on it now I'm noticing a blueish green stuff groing next to the coraline, any ideas what this stuff is? I tried taking pictures of it but there isn't a lot of the stuff and its not showing up in the pictures.

Is it a noticeable growth (has some thickness to it) like the coralline algae? I am not sure but I have read about other colors of coralline...if I remember right some people have talked about green coralline growing in brighter lighting...I think. Obviously I am not to confident about that, though.

has no thickness to yet, but I just noticed it a few days ago, it almost looks like mold growing only alot brighter

I think I have the same stuff growing in some spots on one of my rocks. I described it as the color that you see on old pennies and it grows in just little spots on one of my rocks. It does not seem to be harmful to anything and will not scrape off nor can my crabs or snails get it off. Someone told me it is just a different type of corraline.

We have lime green growing on our rocks, but then given time it turns purple. I think that ka0z4allu is right, it's just another another form of coraline. I bet with time you will see that green start to turn purple.
