grouper lanceolatus

Anyone hiave info on this guy? AKA the bumble bee grouper / grouper lanceolatus? They look really cool (black and gold) but if I am right I think they grow up to be the giant grouper and get way to big for a 200 gallon tank and lose their black and gold coloring.. Any info would help!

They grow large enough to well... not fit into a 200g tank! Pretty sweet when young.

Not so much, atleast for the home aquarium, when an adult weighing nearly upwards of 300kg and 2.7m long

My dad came home with a two inch one, I new that it wouldn't last long, but what I didn't realize is that by they time he got to 8 inches (about 6 monthes) He would have eaten three of my Fish. Not a good investment, He's long gone now.

Yeah, leave them in the ocean... Get a miniatus grouper.
