gsp, polyps and calcium?

do softies use as much calcium as sps and or lps.. i have a 10 gallon with a frag of gsp and purple death polys... was considering wether i should start adding calcium n alk buff, or if my water changes would be sufficient. or by dosing will it help them grow bigger?

They do have hard skeletons that use calcium or alk and water changes here should do more than suffice.

I add a little calcium to my nano's every week and my gold colored GSP is no longer trying to cover the LR, it is actually starting to branch. Not sure if dosing the added calcium helps it grow like this or not, but it seems to have started growing like this after I started adding a little extra calcium.
