I had an idea with the bottle trick-- what if you just made 1 extra cut at the top of the bottle, where you would drink from. That would make the hole bigger and then invert the 2 pieces. HTH.

What kind of crab is that in your pic? the reason I ask is I just bought a mushroom rock that had one of those guys hiding on it. I don't have a complete reef set up because of my threadfin, but I do have leathers and shrooms. All of my fish are alot bigger than him except for two clown gobies.

don't buy a decorator. I bought two from swf and they were crazy. one actually pulled my clarki from it anemone and killed it. They other would actually snip the anemone's tentacles off and try to stick it to his back.

i have no clue what kind of crab it is was hoping someone here could tell me, i was looking around the tank yesterday and spotted him both claws holding a small hermit or snail (not sure which) just a munching away, and that did it, i tryed rigging up a trap for him but only got hermits and shrimp. its gonna be a battle just like getting out the damsels.

I got my gsp yesterday from swf, it came with a rock, but it wasnt attached to it ???.
it is still completely closed, did i recieve a dead gsp?

yea they are opening, they dont look like the ones people posted here though, how long before they grow and get tall and grassy looking?

I don't know y they wouldn't be very tall, maybe they still have to grow. Do you have a pic? Here is mine about 2 weeks after being in my tank. You can see the new growth where there are no polyps yet.

The GSP we got from SWF wasnt on a rock, it was more like a cluster of "old" tubes I'm assuming from its growth. Anyway, ours took 1-2 days to fully open and didn't have much color, but after a week or 2 they started getting more green everyday. I'll try to post some pics. This is probably after a day or 2 in the tank:

btw, i had him up on top of a flat rock, somehow he fell down, i dont want to stress him out and move him right away. of course he would have to fall on algae

He doesn't look to bad. I have read that they like a ton of flow. What lighting do you have?

i think thats how he fell down was because of the strong flow. i have 6 160w vho 3white/3blue

They look fine to me also. Right now ours is in a pretty hi flow area, about mid-tank and running 4 x 65w pcs.

ive had mine for quit some time yet and it really hasnt grown that much, the rock it is on is completly covered and there is nothing but sand around it. could this be why?
