If you look above the GSP in the 1st picture the "red stuff" on the rock above is cyano. You can or should be able to blow that off the GSP. Now your GSP may not open for a while after you do that. It can be sensitive. But it will most likely do much better with out that on it.

Briareum asbestinum, thats it
And i tried blowing the stuff off by blowing water on it with a pipette and some came off but most of it is stuck on, i tried lightly scraping it with the end of the pipette but it didnt work, now what? should i scrape it off harder (i was afraid of hurting them)

oh, and i found a little brown snail on it when i was trying to clean it, i took it out and dropped it so i didnt get a great look at it, so are there any brown coral eating snails?

Dont know about the brown snail. Sometimes that cyano can be hard to blow off. A gentle brushing should not hurt. No sand paper lol.

Cyano comes off easy. From the pictures it looks like you have clove polyps not green star polyps. I think you have coraline algae on the rock where the polyps are. I have red coraline, it even looks a little velvety where is so thick. It is hard as the rock itself.
Clove polyps are particular and like low flow areas or they won’t open right and start to thin out until they are gone.
I don’t have a very good camera…I am attaching a picture of my clove polyps and one of my star polyps, GSP have a little white ball in each flower and the clove has the long stems.

im pretty sure they are Briareum asbestinum. But they are under my filter output thing. I guess ill try to move them to a lower flow area, also, the algea is growing on the polyp mat, not the rock. will that cause a problem to?

There is no end to it. Now just aaa few are opening. Ive notice a sponge growing on the main part, and these little white mini tree branch looking things growing out of the mat. Any suggestions?
