Annie is currently in heat. I know it happens every 6 months. But can you tell me for how long? She has been bleeding for a week but it was just a couple days ago she started to drip real bad...

What a cutie.
She will be in heat for around 2 weeks. My dog didn't like the diapers either when I used them, but if you keep on her and give her treats when she leaves it alone, she'll get used to it faster. Make sure you keep her totally away from other dogs! I hope that lab is fixed, or a female too!

I wouldn't leave her in the backyard when you're gone either, males will go through fences, (or over them) to get to her! They can smell a female in heat up to a mile away!
