It is what I call Fluff. It is a motto nothing more in my opinion. And doing it or not doing it will not a make a difference in the economy. In fact I believe if we switch to american only products in our purchases we could actually collapse the economy.

dont have any pics at the moment. all the pics I have are of my seahorses tanks I used to keep. Will have to get some up...

I think it is because we pay attention more than others. WE hear something and research it. Kinda like school for us, plus you have to enjoy debate. That helps. I like history as it is and politics tend to go hand in hand.
I have a slew of sites I go to daily, and read stuff, then I research what I read. I will be honest, not all of it interests me, but many of it does. Most of it comes from my family as well, since they are very into politics and the state of our country. Guess that goes with a military family history.
Add in I don't watch much TV. Right now the only shows I make sure to watch are 24 and house. I DVR a lot of news stuff also and history channel, so I don't have to waste time watching a show to get what I want to see...fast forward on DVR is awesome.

2 reasons,
1. I'm a dork, I love information, whether it is about fishtanks, or politics. When I was little my dad would take me to school, and we'd listen to NPR and other news programs or watch news on tv, and I'd hear the information, remember it. Then when he took me to work, (he used to be a contractor on Ft Bliss doing some computer design) I'd sit there and talk to these army guys (I'm like 4 5 and 6 years old) and argue with them about international affairs.
2. I have an econ degree, so I spend 4 ok well 6 years studying about economics.

don't know the first one, the housewives one has a couple hot chicks in it, but not enough to make it worth my time to watch that crap.

P.S. you guys really need to ask juicier questions, The after party question should have been followed up on....but to bad.
