maybe it is a baby candy cane. it looks like that to me for a ric but you said it was hard right
but my guess is a cany cane. those are cool coral

well i doubt its a candy cane as well...unless its a crazy type of one...i have a candy cane and it looks nothing like this. plus a candy cane has the branch type thing that it grows off of right?...as far as i can tell this "polyp" is attached directly to the rock....and i have yet to see and feeder tenticles.

Sorry Bronco, didnt see this. Just thinking, it looks like at one time there may have been a larger something ( coral ) keeping the zoos from growing into that bare spot were the mystery coral is now. With out knowing if the rock is all one or a shot showing more area of the zoos, its hard to tell. Just thinking with what we got, you know how it is..... :notsure:

this is a full shot of the rock with the zoos on it...i now broke it up, but it was just a rock with zoos growing...i dont think there would be anyting from the new coral that was keeping the zoos away since on the right side there are some right on top of it basically

Alright, here are a few more pics, the first two you can see it has a piece of mysis in his mouth, the last one he is all done, but you can clearly see his mouth,etc.

Very cool though, make sure to take pictures as it grows.

not sure but it kinda looks like this, Bullseye Mushroom, or 2nd pic is Green Scolymia.

haha, just so you dont forget, i still dont know what this is! AND i have the coral for this month...or thing for this month..it looks like itd be a sponge, but its growing little nubs on top now...

just an update on what it looks like now, lost it in the tank a while back and found it in the move, still alive and looks even better now! its in the lower left corner of the pic
