Guitar Hero III question

I have a friend visiting out of town and he brought his WII and GH3, but without the instructions. Occasionally there is a note that comes down with a brighter white dot on top than usual, what does that mean?

Hammer On/Pull Off note......

its a hammer on or a pull off... as long as you hit the note before it there is no need to strum...

no strumming I imagine is the "pull off"...what is the hammer option?

Hammer on is where you just hit the "string"

you dont have to strum either... go into the tutorials it will teach you all about em...

go to the tutorials. and the bright white shows that there is no need to strum lol u can just press the color fret button

Just did the tutorial, that will make the harder levels easier once you master the hammer / pull.
