Hey nano reefers. i was looking through the responible aquarist forum and saw this thread about saving sharks. i took the time to see the video and that video affected my life. you guys should see the video as well. we really need to take action and stop this! sharks were made for a reason not for us to kill them! i cant see a poor shark being killed. this is what i wrote right after i saw the video:
"I havent seen it man. but looking at the tailers! why are people doing this to the sharks! like they said. nature made them for a reason not for us to kill them! everytime i go snorkeling or scubadiving here by the keys, and when i see a shark they are the most amazing thing in life! they dont even show like if they wanna harm us! they are a beautiful creature! so there shouldnt be a reason on why people out there in the world are doing this!"

I personally like sharks and feel they have their place in the world.. unfortunately this dvd will have a minimal impact at best because while it make shock people and tingle their spines, it's not going to make most people start shelling money or actively participating in their cause.

You can always go around like greenpeace and be a terrorist against whaling ships... I mean shark fishing ships... I hear its risky... and that the fishermen don't give up easily.

I just watched that video. Man its so wrong what some people do. I was on this forum the other day and this kid was keeping a coral banded shark in a 75g aquarium. An he said himself how he had already had one die but was trying it again.

I saw one today surfing...it was probably about a 5 foot black tip. Frieks me out a bit, but it is an awesome presence that is felt.
I eat all seafood that God made, but never shark. I have too much respect for them and I am in the water too much. I dont eat them and I ask that they dont eat me.

So far, my theory has worked!

OMG, I totally forgot. That was you. I am sooo sorry.
But on a real note, People eat cow, fish, anything. What is so wrong with eating shark? I have never had it but do not really see whats wrong with it.

would you like it if you were a shark and you were being eaten? no right. samething for a shark. they wouldnt like to be killed or eaten. yea its a cycle of life. but we shouldnt destroy theirs.

Are you a vegetarian? Cause if not then you have NO room to talk. People are just being hippocrites.

Hippocrates is not associated with hypocrites lol...
He's still going through the shock of watching the vid... it'll wear off..
vegetarians still add to the death and destruction of lots of animals.
Think of it like this... how many acres of forest must be destroyed just to plant the crops especially if they're "organically" grown which requires even more space to accomodate for the losses due to pests and other negative factors? how many animals died as a result of the deforestation?

I care more about marine life then you. I grow SPS , You grow have hair algae, I breed fish, You kill sharks. Need I say more? I think I will. You eat meat. So what should I say you do not care about animals?
