H.O.T. protein skimmer suggestions

Hi,
I am currently running a prizm skimmer on my 50 gal reef tank. I've been thinking about upgrading the skimmer and am looking for suggestions. The models I'm interested in are:
Aqua C Remora pro
PM HOT1
Prizm pro deluxe
I would appreciate any experience you can offer in regards to these or any other HOT skimmers. Another point I have to consider is clearance. I currently have 4 3/4 clearance behind my tank. If needed, I could probably move the tank out a bit but I'd rather not.

welcome to the board brianh. check the specs of the skimmers to see if they will fit behind your tank. if not you might want to take a look at some of the tunze skimmers. they hang inside the tank. i have a model 2213 in my 30 gal and it works great. they cost about 100 bucks.

I've never seen a tunze skimmer but R. Fenner highly recommends them on his web site. How much room does it take up in your tank and where did you buy it from?

I use the Prizm Pro. I like it alot. It has the surface skimmer with it to take the film off of the top of the tank.
I actually bought 2 of them. I have one for sale if your interested. Just e-mail.
