What test kits do y'all use for the various chemistry levels? I bought a master kit made by Hagen, but am not thrilled with it. There are so many to choose from, what manufacturers do you recommend and for which tests? <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />
I've never used Hagen, so I can't comment on quality. I use Salifert, which is generally accepted to be one of the better test kits for Reef Systems. I don't believe it has a "master" kit though. You have to purchase each test separately.
I use Salifert test kits also. You can buy them in a "kit" although they well be boxed seperately. If you need further info, you can email me at zari_green@hotmail.com

I used Hagen and found them inaccurate. Most of the time the readings were lower or better than the paremeters really were. I use Tetres and Aquarium Pharmaceuticals test kits. I have not tried Salifert because they are not readily available in my area.
They aren't readily available to me either. I order them from online. I have found that there isn't much in my area that is available lol It's bad when I have to drive 300 miles round trip to New Orleans to buy replacement bulbs for my lights. Unfortunately for me, I bought my tank and setup used from someone that lives very far away. Will NEVER do that again!

I use Salifert tests. In the past I've used the Red Sea kits, which were good, just not as easy to read as the Saliferts. You can get them online, and buy them in a bunch to save on shipping.
