I have been trying to locate where my tank was getting the p04 to cause the current algae breakout i have. I use RO/DI water and have very little in the tank. The lights and bulbs are both new. The one thing that I did have was my chaeto was floating on the surface in the fuge, and it was catching alot of food every time i fed the tank. I took that and cleaned it out in some ro/di water and placed it back in the fuge. when i did that the water i cleaned it in was really brown with crap that was on the chaeto...that had to have been a nest of p04?? Could this be the reason i ended up with a hair algae breakout...all the food and stuff caught up in it???
