Hair, Hair, Hair

I have a nano tank that I am just starting. I first had brown diatoms and now the hair. I have completed a 10% water change (first change) this week. Should I just let it go or take action?

The hair is absorbing excess nutrients from your water. It usually goes away after awhile. How much lighting do you have and how long do you keep it on? You might want to reduce the lighting schedule until the hair gets under control and then slowly increase the light...

Thanks -
It is an Oceanic 14G Bio cube with two different lights. I run the lights for about 6-8 hours a day.

Most of the hair has died. I continue to do a 10% water change each week. I checked my numbers before the water changer last night and everything looks good. Could the hair be part of my cycle?

I could be part of the process. If the hair is dead you need to remove it. By doing so you remove the nutrients that helped it growth.
