Hair like critters coming out of rock work

I have these little hair like things that are coming out of my rock work. I know they arent bristle worms, They look like sweeper tenticles that can contract and stretch out. They have a little white round end on them and they are all over. Any ideas? I know its a long shot without pics but I have to at least see if any one has had anything like this.

no they arent feather dusters either. I do have a bunch of them though. I dont know how to describe them other then long pieces of thread that are out during the day and night. They dont seem to be bothering anything other then my eyes. I dont like the looks of them.
