half and half

I am bored and one of the few things left to try are sps. I am considering a MH pendant over one half of my 75 gal display and PC fixtures over the other half.
The soft and LPS on one half of tank and the sps under the halides with the majority of the circulation on this half of tank also. Anyone ever do this? I have a feeling it probably wont work as most sps tanks I have seen are dedicated solely to them.

I havent tried it but was considering something similar. I want to buy a single halide unit and retrow fit it and my existing lights into a custom pendant fixture, that way I can have all ranges of light in my tank. I'm assuming its going to look uneven but I think it is a great Idea. I'm going to try and pull it off with a home depot ballast and fixture and put in a marine bulb. taxes are coming in soon
