well ive been playing for about 3 days now... mind blowing game!
10x better than the first...plus the new havok engine is spectacular.
i cant begin to show you how beautiful this game looks but ill pop in a screen shot i just took.
resolution is low due to compacting....

I played it all the time when it first came out. I haven't played it much lately since I beat it. I may have to go back and play it again.

like if you remember the nova prospekt point (screen shot area) how long until i get to the end?

nova prospect is close to the end, I think lol, I forget exactly. Just wait till you get the super gravity gun!!!!! OMG that was a blast.

they have made a half life deathmatch which is free with the game
then you get counter strike source which is also free....CS:S uses the half life 2 engine

yea HL2DM is great. Kill a people with tables and stuff is fun. Too bad there are only like 2 maps so far.

I would LOVE Natural Selection made for source!!! But I don't know if they are gonna do it. Its my favorite HL mod.

same thing will alittle better graphics and added physics. (you can shoot over barrels and stuff like that.) Its pretty much the same old CS.

well in half life 1
Gordon freeman opened a portal to a place known as ZEN
fought his way out... of the black mesa complex and went to zen....
( i never beat it but thats the gist)
half life 2
the COMBINE (from zen) raids earth and takes over enslaving humans....
freeman is a wanted man and he has to fight to build a new portal...
its really complex.
if you purchase the silver package for half life 2 you get the first game redone in the half life 2 engine.
you should try it... great gameplay and story

its not really redone. It looks nearly exactly the same other than the physics and water effects.

ohhh... i thought since it was HL source it meant redone with the engine

Not real hard. Its not overly long eigther. I don't play hours on end and I still beat it in about a week. Its only on PC. Though I think HL1 came out on PS2 but I would stick to the PC version. Just get HL2 on steam and you get every game they released on steam. Check out www.steampowered.com
