halide bulb dimensions?

I just got a 2x250w ballast and sockets in the mail today from Cool Touch Lighting. the Sockets are about an inch in diameter. Is this right? I never pictured the bulbs being that big. Anybody got dimensions for their bulbs?

Sounds right, the MH bulbs are much larger than standard bulbs.

yep.. sounds right to me.... big suckers arnt they.... wait till you fire em up... you can barely look at them... with sunglasses....lol
