halide just turned off don't know why, help!

I have a coralife hang-on tank MH system, its about a month and a half old. It's a 150w HQI DE. I'm not too good with electrical stuff and all. But I was sitting on the computer and heard the lights cut off. I have them on a timer and checked that and its fine. The fan is still running at the moment. Anybody have any ideas or need any other information?

sounds like that ballast or the bulb maybe the cap
try a new bulb if that don't work u need new guts
new bulb would be me first guess and if it's not you'll end up using it later n e way
if u buy new guts and it's not them u wont be able to take them back and not need em
