halides alone

what are some thoughts on running only halides? do you have to have some other supplemental lighting or could i get by with 2 175w halides on a 75 and if so how long should they stay on per day?

you could get 14k bulbs. It will give it a bluer tint

I run only halides on my tank, 250 watt 20 k on timer from 12 to 9:15

I olny run MH on my tank... 210 with 3 400w 14000k... it is the only way to go... IMO

i have 2 175w xm 15k's on the way, but i also have a 2x110w vho setup and a nova extreme with 4 54 watt t-5's but i would like to just make things simple and use only the halides
