meo,
Ever see them eat cyano like the listing says? I don't have any rigt now, but its an interesting thing t have on hand for such an occurance.
Think they got eaten or just died because of something missing in thier diet?

There are two different types of halloween hermits that get sold in the hobby. One is certainly much cooler than the other in my opinion. They're a bigger type of hermit, although still a smaller variety of hermit.
I personally hate hermits and the bigger the hermit the more likely they're able to cause trouble.

I had gotten them to help control cyano in one of my tanks.....I honestly do not know if they did or not....I doubt they starved cause the tanks are established and have lots to offer them, BUT....I just figure a bigger critter wanted their shell...

i had the ones on the right of Spegs pics

People confuse the two. There are Halloweens which are on the right (broad orange and black bands) and then there are Hawaiians on the left (thin orange and black bands) Halloweens are like your electric blues, meaning they are big and clunk around occasionally moving stuff in your tank and will typically leave other inhabitants alone (though they are opportunistic feeders) . Hawaiians are clunky too but what differs is that it WILL go after other inhabitants and can quickly wipe out CUCs. Go with the Halloweens. I'll be getting some for myself soon. HERMITS RULE!!!!!!!! Haha just messing with you speg but seriously crabs are the biggest reason why I got into this hobby they are soooo cool!!!

Crabs are way cool... don't get me wrong when I say they're annoying. Really cool but anything that bothers my coral isn't something I want.
