I HAVE THEM!! HAHA but I dont know if it eats cyno b.c I dont think I have any. But once I grow some I'll let you know! They do an amazing job at cleanning the rock work tho.

I hope you can never answer that question....Cyano is a BIG pain in the BUTT

Good choice!
Mine acctually crawl on my hand now and pick at it but the claws are to small to feel a pinch.
Can you post a pic of cyno? I honestly dont even know what it is. All I know is its a pain

just google cyano....you'll get a bunch of pics...LOL
Good thing to look up things like that though....this way IF you get them you are not like AHHHHHH what is going on

She's frustrated...cyano in the 29g...hair and possibly bryopsis in the 225g...a sick horse in qt....and the 54g is ALMOST rid of cyano....but I can not falter on the care of it....so I am the one saying AHHHHHH

the holloween hermits should eat the hair algae.
Mine got rid of most of it growing on my LR but the stuff I got off the glass is growing in my sand now like grass(not that much yet)

I have a Halloween and a Tahitian (electric) Blue. Both are advertised to eat cyano. Neither does, IME.
Gorgeous critters though.

I think theyll eat it meowzer. But first theyll eat alkl the other algae in your tank. Mine ate all the hair algae brown algae on my rocks they just finished eating the small bubble algae, and now there poking away at the sand bed.
You just need to give them time to munch out. Unlike the scarlet hermit they dont quit eating. I havent seen mine stop yet.

LOL.. With mine I acctually picked them up by there shells when putting them into my tank and put them on the spots where the most algae was and they just started to work and never stopped. My rocks are purple and white again no browns and greens.
