what 10k's dont have a "yellow" tint to it?i dont want to get actinic supplements though.
do you think that $199.99 is good for this if it comes with bulb and ballast?

With no supp. then your right, you probably will want to go with something bluer than a 10K. Whats included for $200? Bulb, ballast, reflector, socket, completly wired?

I have XM 10K's on Icecap ballasts and they are not crisp white, alone they are yellowish. Doesn't mean all 10K's will be that way, just my set-up is.,

Seems like a good price for everything, though I know nothing about the Hamilton Ballasts. I don't know if there will be much difference in growth between 14k or 10k, I've heard there is some difference with zoo's but I don't know if its enough to really worry about.

thanks, this is alittle off the subject but you know how some tanks are just too "fragile" or dont have a good"track record" of being drilled?well can a 40 breeder be drilled?
you've been a huge help NAS

The sides should be drillable, the bottom most likely not as pwnag3!! said if its tempered you can't drill it.
