Hamilton vs Phoenix

I've read on this forum and others that Hamilton bulbs are not so great. I like the look of the Pheonix bulb more as well. It is the 10K bulb, not the brand that is yellow...even Phoenix is yellow with 10K..

Actually I was just giving my experience with Hamilton in general....and not all 10k bulbs are yellow....Ushio 10K are white

Really??? I never heard of Ushio. I had 10K hamilton, everything looked awful so I upgraded to 14K and was much happier. I couldn't even find phoenix bulbs at the time. I have 175w not so common, everyone has 150w or 250w

Really??? I never heard of Ushio. I had 10K hamilton, everything looked awful so I upgraded to 14K and was much happier. I couldn't even find phoenix bulbs at the time. I have 175w not so common, everyone has 150w or 250w

Yeah...somehow I ended up with one Ushio and 2 Hamilton
I have the 2 250W10K hamiltons on the outside and the 250w10K Ushio in the center,
if the bulbs were not so expensive I would have had them replaced by now, I only put these in in July
next time I am going with 14k for sure

I burst a $70.00 10K bulb the first day I got it, by splashing a drop of top off water on it. So since I had to order a bulb anyway I just upgraded to the 14K, I still have one 10K bulb as a spare.
I was just looking around and I found the Phoenix 175 14K
$10.00 cheaper than what I paid for Hamilton 14K. I saved the site, which I can't mention...in favorites. I never noticed a Ushio before, but I wasn't looking..that brand is everywhere.
I won't be needing a bulb until around July.
