Stupid vacations...
Came back to a dead pygmy angel and alveopora. Immediate water change (25%) Levels are reading much better, with traces of ammonia nitrate etc.
There are still crabs and snails, seem to be fine
Two firefish zooming around like nothing
Lawnmower blenny and cleaner shrimp seem all right too
But of course my favorite hammer coral is withdrawn and doesn't look well.
I can put it in another tank with all brand new water, but afraid of the shock, and i'm at a loss on lighting for it in the new tank.
I read on here about "blasting" it with water to rinse out the muck. I tried that and I think it did more damage to the soft tissue than it did any flushing.
Direct feeding? Or other suggestions? I think I will change 20% out again after two or three days rather than wait a week, but Im really trying to save this guy.
