Hammer coral

My wife saw a hammer coral that was about the size of a regulation size basketball.
Any idea of how long it would take to grow to that size?

yup, give or take of course depending on lighting, food availability, water conditions, flow, etcetera. also depends on the size colony you start with. if you start with a 1" piece it could take longer, if you start with a softball sized colony possibly a couple years instead of four.
