hammer problem

i have a very large hammer that is been in my tank for a week now. my problem is htat it hasnt opened fully since the day i got it..i have tryed moving it. did a water change...tested water(my nitrates were a little high 15-20) 2 days ago but i thought they would be fine by now..i dont know what is wrong..all my other lps are doing great(just takes 1 of my frog spauns forever to open. what could be my problem?? feel free to tell me any suggestions!!!

the hammer is probably acclimating to your tank. Give it a little while longer and it will open up.

if its in too much flow it may not extend fully. do you have any clowns that may be trying to bond with it? my clowns harrssed the heck out of my frogspawn causign it not to fully open for a long time and the base receeded, I moved it now its fine. Just a thought.

Hard to tell from picture..is there anything in close range that could be "bothering/stinging" it??? I.E. another coral?

Usually anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Find a spot you like with weak flow, and leave it there. What type of lighting setup do you have? Tank specs? etc?
