Hamster in my Wet / Dry !!!

So the hamster got out... again...
The thing manages to escape out of it's 10 gal home every other day. I usually find it soon after dark walking around the kitchen on the night it gets loose. Well, it wasn't there tonight. I was about to go to bed, figuring I would check for it tomorrow night, and I happened to stop by my 180 to check the water level before bed. I looked under the tank and inside my wet / dry were 2 little eyes looking back at me - the hamster was soaked and was holding on for dear life b/w the main pump line and my skimmer
. So I grabbed the thing and rinsed him off with regular water, dried him and put him back in his home. I'm definitely going to set up a better system to house that fella now. It's going to have a lock somehow.
Just wondering... there's nothing that could harm my fish from this, right??

That's funny! I doubt anything well happen to either one. Might have to look for hamster poop in the tank though!

he just wanted a bigger home like you give the fishes. You should buy him on of those penn plex palaces, give him something to do to keep him busy. If he were a fish you wouldnt keep him in just a 10 gallon tank, lol

Poor little guy! Get on your local reef forum and buy him a 30 or so gallon tank... And a Mrs. Squeakers, that aught to keep him busy for a while.

You should go over the top and get him a 180 . That would just be funny . A huge tank and a single hamster .

Good idea... I'll run the idea by my wife... I think she'll love another tank in our 1200 sq ft house!

wrong wrong werong,, I forsee PETA attacking this thread. YOU know how they are, lol. (by the way I live across from Seattle, and NO ONE could understand PETAs latest 'protest' about our AWESOME fish mongers at Pikes Places Market until the news explained it to us, SO they will probably do something, just no one will understand it until later!!!)

That's what I did - but my 2 yr old son kept getting to it and taking it off. I ended up finding a 10 gallon cover at wallyworld that locks on pretty easily. Hopefully that will do the trick!
