Handling anemones/coral (gloves)

Are there any recommendations or guidelines for certain types of gloves to use when handling anemones or items that may sting (also just to keep your hand out of the water)? My concern is whether latex or other gloves that you might use could be harmful to a reef environment. TIA

I use the purple ones that wal mart sells. They are hypo allergenic and powder free! I have handled my newly acquired anemone many times with them and it's no harm.

I agree, you can't feel the sting on your hands. If it brushes against the inside of your arm it itches a little but def. not painful!! I hand feed mine all the time.

non powdered are fine....just use your hands and dont let them touch more than your palm and youre fine...or if you do get stung tought it out
