Hang on fuge

Anyone have any experience with the hang on type fuge. I am just wondering if they are effective?

Yep, they're neat. Great for growing pods, mangroves, looks cool, etc. I don't think its large enough for algae scrubbing nutrient export though.

Thanks. That is what I was wondering. We have an established reef tank that we have been using mechanical filtration. We would like to add a refuge, but need to understand how to do it. An easy way seems to be the hang on type, but I am not sure it would be totaly effective.
