I have a 40 breader and was wondering if a hang on ref was worth my time.Yea its small but with 7 kids its low budget .Lfs cuts me some deals and gives me somethging t0 do other than change diapers .

im getting a hang on that should be in by tomorrow. I'll let u know it works out, but the guy (owner of the store) gave me the idea & said customers who bought them really were happy with them so we'llll see! and its about 19inches long by 6 inches wider dont know how tall but ill keep u updated? oh and hes throwing in free mud & rubble rock & a handfull of cheato $170 is the total cost.

Wow thats bigger than the ref i found 24:4:14 is largest i can find w /20in pc.

They are worth the effort but are quite pricey off the shelf. ive seen several different ones DIY'd using a HOB filter such as an old Whisper,the bigger the better. You should be able to pick up a used one,add a 5 dollar light from HD and get it all setup for 20-30 bucks if you are frugal,which Im guessing you must be to even have a tank at all with *GULP* 7 kids!!

i hv one 20x4x12 by aquafuge. its good. i hv tons of pods in there w cheato and fugi mud. all u need is a clip-on light.
