Hanging a metal halide light fixture on ceiling..Is it easy?

Just bought a 24" mh fixture thinking I can just let it sit on my 30" wide tank with the legs mounted..but it looks too goofy and unstable so I just ordered the ceiling kit...is it fairly easy? If I cant find a stud cant I just use a drywall anchor? Would that support the fixture??? The fixtures only like 10-15lbs
Does anyone have any pictures of their lights hanging from ceiling?

The kit will come with instructions. If I were going to guess I would say it will tell you to hit a stud, or at least use an approved ceiling box that is anchored to a stud. What kind of kit light is it?

This is just something to consider:
MH lights are VERY
bright, like looking into the sun bright. If you hang your lights and you have the tank in a room where you sit and watch TV, the light may bother you.
I use a canopy, but if I stand right in front of my tank at a certian angle, there is a small slit where my eyes meet the light...it causes my eyes to tear, so I avoid that possition.
So I can't imagine a hanging light in that room.

Actually came up with a great idea...Going to purchase 2 Wrought Iron Brackets with a hook at the end...and just place the mount on the hook and have it hanging from wall instead of ceiling..there for if I cant find a stud in wall I have the option to get a Drywall anchor in which I would feel more confident in using on a wall then a ceiling
