well as some of you may have noticed or not, ive been away for the past couple weeks... well i am back bearing GREAT NEWS!!!!
i am going to be a dad!!!! now when i found this out my first reacton was " what does this mean for the 210 gal i got sitting in the garrage?" well my fiancee says i can still set it up, which was a relief.. after a few moments it sunk in, that i get to raise and teach a human being about how to live in this world. i never thought i would be this excited about anything. i still got 8 months to go till this thing pps out, but none the less my excitement is boiling over. take care and enjoy, ill be around but just not a often...

CONGRATS! Thats awesome...and 8 months isnt that long! It will FLY by...trust me! Youre in for the ride of your life!

You think 8months flies by, just wait until they start school, you will wonder where the time went.
The amount of love you will have for this little person will amaze you.

I've got three...a 22 yr old daughter...18 yr old daughter...12 yr old son...nothing compares to being a parent. especially if you accept the responsibility and do the best you can to provide a safe home for them to grow up in. The happiest days of my life have been the days my children were born.
Congradulations...and best of luck to you and the mother.

thank you all for the words, we got back from the doc a few hrs ago... and the due date is april 24th.... my birthday is april 28th btw... talk about a birthday present

WOW!! Usually it's the female that gets all excited this early in the game... Goes to show, you're gonna be a good dad!:)
And if it's a girl, you can tell her she had you wrapped from the moment of conception! You should print this thread so when she is 16, you can show it to her.
I say "her" but you know what I mean...
Keep us posted. And if you can't handle the tank, I'll take it off your hands for ya!:D

That 210 will make a perfect baby play pen!
Congratulations - life will change a lot. You seriously might want to consider getting all of your hardware now, and putting aside the money in a seperate account for your rock/corals, etc. and waiting to set the tank up.
Believe me - it doesn't come accross well when you tell your wife when she's in the middle of labor that you'll be right back - you just have to do a quick water change.
I have 4 children and it's perhaps the most amazing thing in this crazy mixed up world. Cherish EVERY moment......
