Being as I have never ordered any fish online, I was very pleased today when My clean up crew and emperor snapper arrived.
granted the snapper was a little smaller then expected, no signs of disease. And all seemed to be very healthy.
which is something that my lfs can't seem to do here recently.
I would definately recomend ordering from here.. :) Before I ordered I couldn't find any complaints, no real posts besides a lr order that said they were any good so, I sucked it in and gave it a shot.
Will let you know later how the crew and snapper is doing.

I was very scary of ordering a fish from online, but around here the price for salwater fish are just outragous. a tiny french angle 2" max, $130. so I was willing to give it a shot.
$60 for a small emperor snapper, but I got lucky and got them to ship it with my Clean up crew so I really only paid $30 since shipping was already free for the crew.
I will be posting some pictures on my website tonight so you can see his size and coloraraion. I'm hoping that he will not be afraid tonight when i get home and he will be a little lighter color. his red was almost black from him being frightened.

60 bucks for an emperor?!?! thats a little pricey. they usually have them at my lfs for 30 bucks. the cleanup crews here from what ive heard are the best. you know, that snapper will get absolutley huge. what else do you have in your tank. congrats on the purchase. bo

Thanks everyone, Grouperhead, currently my 92 is fairly new so the onlything in there really is 2 dominos im planning on removing later once the tank has been running for a whil, a snowflake eel and a convict tang.
check out my homepage, I have added some pics of my tank, got some shots of the snapper, but he's stil a little afraid he's hiding in the shadows in the back near the overflow drain. I should Have some more Info about my setup's here soon. Gotta find the time... :-/
I've got a buddy that has a emperor snapper also he has had him for about a year now and he is about 8" absolutely georgous, hand fed. You dabble your finger in the tank and he will shoot straight accross the tank for food. when he was in the pond tank while the new tank was setting up.. he used to bob up and down outa the water getting your attention to feed him.

Grouper: the only reason the snapper is $60 instead of $30 is because its $30 for shipping him to over night em. It would prolly be worth your wild if you got more than one fish from saltwater.com cuz $30 shipping isnt bad if your getting a bunch of fish you cant get at your lfs, or if your lfs is like mine and is outragous on prices. whats the price of a tiny french angel in your area?
here its $130... and the french is smaller than the snapper i just got. which is about 2" maybe a little bigger.

I am also happy to hear the good things about orders from this site, as LR and fish prices are much lower here than our LFS. $8 a pound is a bit too pricey for LR for my taste!

I too am a happy SWF customer. I've ordered 120lbs of LR and a clean up crew in the last 7 weeks and all are doing fine. The clean up crew arrived today with all members in great shape. They are in the tank and doing well. The live rock has plenty of hitchhikers such as filter feeders and even one button polyp. I do think FedEX needs to do a better job at handling the LR as both boxes were wet when they arrived but the LR was still wet, too.
