Hard greenish/brownish algae????

Its growing on some of the rocks and in the corners/back of the tank. What kind is it. It's pretty ugly, how do I get rid of it?

Algae is produced if you have excess phosphates(green) and silica (brown). Just get a algae magnet. I wouldn't scrape it off b/c then the algae would die and thus produce more phosphates and silica making you problem even worse. HTH p.s. there are many other methods of getting rid of it. You can just buy more snails and things like that. Good luck
