Hard Time Catching Fish

Blue tang has ick, waited a couple of days to do anything and now the clowns are COVERED in spots as well. yellow tang is fine. the clowns seem to be doing okay but i need to get them treated. i want to set up a qt but there's no way i can CATCH the fish! i have about 70 lbs of live rock, 2 cleaners, mushrooms and a ton of blue leg hermits, any other way to treat without doing hypo, qt and killing off my inverts/shrooms.
i've search and read alot of posts on here already if you're wondering, i know that qt is the best choice but if i were to go that route, would i need to take out the yellow tang as well so that the ich does not have a host? and all i have is a 10 gallon tank, i don't want to put all my fish in one little tank. thanks for any help

well i've started the QT, again only question is should take out all fish even if they aren't sick? the two that don't look sick are the yellow tang and the diamond goby.

ick parasites are always in the water. When the fish's ammune system gets weak is when it sets in. You can get food that is medicated to feed them-the tanks and the clowns should both eat algea which helps with the immune system.

this morning did a little water change, adjusted the heat a little because well it was a cold night, as of right now (4 hours after first seeing all the spots on clowns) the clowns are WHITE-SPOT free! the cleaner shrimp do not clean clowns right??? as for the blue tang she's still scraping up against rocks but the fish are basically back to normal. what could of happened to the clowns? eyes playing tricks, maybe airbubbles on them, i am confused.

Try nosickfish.com. I've used it in my reef and it 's hard to believe it work for me no more ick, and i've had ick in my reef for about 6 mo. comes n goes, just dealt with it and making sure my water quality is optimum. I know mostly everone says no reef safe medication will work but, I tried it and my tank is now ick free for a good 4 mos. and going.

That's not good. Tangs are really prone to getting ick. I would say get a cleaner wrasse but they die after all the diseases are gond. Try getting about 3 electric blue gobies. They love ick.

Please understand that ich has a life cycle that includes a disappearance act. Please read the FAQ Thread and the post there on ich.
Perhaps it would be easier, and safer to remove your LR, inverts, and treat your tank with hyposalinity?

BETH great FAQ! you bring up a good point, maybe i will move out the LR and inverts and go hypo in the big tank. will it be okay to leave the goby in or should i move him with the LR and shrimps? by the way my QT is all set up and ready to go, i had a 20 i forgot all about so the blue tang is in there now. she's not too happy with getting netted and placed into a smaller tank though ! i'm really worried about the blue tang.
fingers crossed i won't be opening a FOR SALE thread anytime soon.
