Post however you'd like, that doesn't really bother me. What I do think is funny is when I read something in all caps, I read it as if it were being yelled. It can have a significant impact in perception. I don't think it's hurting you though.

Some people, mostly underage, have kinda come up with their own writing style these days that is supposed to be cool, but looks kinda lame to everyone else. This would include caping the first letter in each word, or changing the fonts into a very odd and not so easy to read color or style, re-working words which I think is truly actually meant to hide the fact that these people just can't spell or communicated well, and are too lazy to use spell check.
Anyway, trust me, none of that is viewed as cool by most people. And whatever you wanted to say, mostly does not even get read because its not worth reading.
Learn English, use common language and writing styles. This will result in people reading and listening to what you have to say. And that is why we are here on forums, right?

There was another thread on this subject a little while back. Personally, I think it's a failure on the part of schools or parents where the kids have no formal knowledge of how to type properly on a QWERTY keyboard. Anyone remember the "home row"? I have a coworker (we're programmers) who went through college for computer science and he still doesn't even know how to type properly; it's a 2-finger operation for him.
So, that in addition to the lack of punctuation and excess of shorthand all come together for a real problem with Internet communication. Of course, if no one gets called out on it, this will only get worse. JMO (just-my-opinion).

My guess is that there probably isnt a formal requirement in High Schools to teach typing skills. I took it when I was in HS, on an old electric typewriter. I wanted nothing to do with the class but my father made me take it and looking back I am glad I did. It was an elective back then, in 1991, and I have no idea if its a requirement now. If it's not, it certainly should be...

We were required to take a computer class in high school. I took it over the summer between 8th grade and high school and finished the program in a week.
I also had 8 years of computers throughout grade school, I finished that program by the time I was out of 3rd grade and got to play Oregon Trail every time they went to computer class. Haha.

Way back in the day, my school's computer lab had the Apple II e and original Macintosh's and we were required to take typing in middle school and high school. Geez, I feel old just saying I used an Apple II e. Of course, my dad was (and still is) a comp-sci prof so we always had a computer at home and he made sure we all new how to use it. I only really used it to play games and break stuff....
