I am wondering a safe level for hardness? my cal and alk were at 300. Is that too high? PH 8.2. My trates were high but my trites were 0 and ammo 0.

trates are always an issue even with changes. It is at 20
I haven't tested today but they have always been high. I have tried everything from not feeding for long periods of time to ACO2. I have not lost anything but 2 peppermint shrimp.
I think it's the size of the tank
