if you have corals then dont put this one into your tan as the best looking slugs feed from "specific hard corals, soft corals, gorgonians, anemones, sponges and other inverts" i think that a five gallon tank may be too unsuitable for these things but again it depends on what you have in the tank, if it gets attacked say goodbye to everything cos the book sitting infront of me says they release poison dye from a galnd in the mantle.

thinking on it, a 5 gallon tank isnt much bigger than the average goldfish bowl! i dont understand why people chose to have tnaks that small (not having a dig!) but i had a 90 litre tank for a few months and it was really hard to maintain and it only had 3 fish in it! but respect to anyone who can maintain a tank that small, goodluck!

i agree w/spike. it'll do badly for about 4days, or an average science fair then die. unless you're a scientist, biologist or an experienced tanker get a bigger tank.
imo

That's not a slug, it's a type of snail commonly called Bubble Snail or Head-Shield Snail.
As far as I know they are all herbivores but may have a specific family of algae they are able to eat. Normally they can all eat Diatoms som can also eat specific types of macro algae.

Thanks on the feedback. I found more information about it on the site though. It said that they're herbivores and eats filamentous algae and unicellular algal film.
